Gwen Hobbs: Curriculum Development Track
|

|
Gwen Hobbs has been involved in Christian education for twenty years. Gwen is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a degree in elementary education. She received her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from North Texas University. She taught for 13 years in the elementary divisions of two different Christian schools. She has been the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Prestonwood Christian Academy for the last eight years. Gwen and her husband Barry live in Dallas and have four grown children.

Joey Roach: Athletic Track

Mr. Roach is a 1986 graduate of Tennessee Temple University. He has served in Christian School ministry for 22 years as a coach, teacher and athletic administrator. He served at Garland Christian Academy for 12 years during which time he was Head Basketball coach and Athletic Director. He has also been named 3 times, Head Coach for the Boys Basketball All Stars team for TAPPS. He is currently the Associate Athletic Director and Head Coach for girl’s basketball at Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas. He frequently travels to other schools to train in Kingdom Athletics.
His wife of 22 years, Terri, is a teacher at PCA and all 3 of his Children, Danielle (17), Michael (12) and Micayla (12) are PCA students. They have lived in the Dallas area for 19 years.

| Sharron Shaw: Admissions Track |

Sharron’s degree is from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. She taught for 3 years in Austin and Richardson, and then stayed home to raise two children, Amy and Michael. She went back to teaching at Trinity Christian Academy in 1987 and taught second grade there for 13 years. She earned her Masters Degree from the University of North Texas in Special Education with a Certification as an educational Diagnostician. In 1999, Sharron began a position as Senior Director of Admissions for Prestonwood Christian Academy, where it has grown from approximately 350 students to over 1450 at present. Sharron and her husband Skip live in Dallas, Texas and enjoy time with their 5 grandchildren.

| Dan Panetti: Developing Worldview Scholars Track |

Dan Panetti serves as the Worldview Director for Prestonwood Christian Academy. He is a graduate of Indiana University and The University of Texas School of Law. Before coming to PCA in 2005, Dan served as the VP of Legal and Public Policy for the National Coalition for the Protection of Children and Families working with national, state and local leaders on issues such as the regulation of Sexually Oriented Business, filtering Internet access in public libraries and schools, and addressing efforts to legalize same-sex marriage. Dan has hosted his own radio talk show as well as appeared on numerous media outlets from ABC Nightly News to FOX News. Dan and his wife have four children and have been members of Prestonwood Baptist Church for fourteen years where Dan teaches a young married Bible fellowship class and serves as a deacon.

| Jan Miranda: College Placement Track |

| Dr. Janet Miranda serves as the Director of Guidance and Counseling for PrestonwoodChristianAcademy in Plano, Texas. Dr. Miranda was recently recognized as the Yale Counselor of the Year recipient and is a past honoree of the Counselor of the Year for the North American Coalition of Christian College Admission Personnel (NACCAP). She serves on the board of advisors for the Fiske Guide to Colleges and is a board member representing Christian high schools for NACCAP. Dr. Miranda has served as a peer evaluator for the College Board and currently serves on the Prepárate Committee. She serves as a presenter for local, regional and national conferences for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and NACCAP conferences. Dr. Miranda is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Texas A & M-Commerce, the University of North Texas and post doctorate studies at Harvard. |

| Dana Epperson: Staff Development Track |

Dana Epperson has been involved in education for twenty years. She is a graduate of Baylor University with a degree in elementary education and bilingual education. Dana received her master’s degree in education from Texas Woman’s University as well as her certifications in Gifted Education and Educational Leadership. She has worked in a variety of educational roles such as classroom teacher, gifted and talented facilitator, educational consultant, and administration over the past 26 years in public and private school settings. She has served at Prestonwood Christian Academy for the last six years as the Lower School assistant principal, Lower School principal, Director of the staff training institute and most recently as the Assistant Head of School--Academics. Dana and her husband Scott live in Plano and have three children ages 22, 17, and 6.
